Bronx, Ny – (May 26, 2010)  Doctors Medical Group, a medical office chain, is conducting an outreach program at its locations by raising the importance of health awareness in the community in celebration of Bronx Week 2010.  The company began providing a week-long service of wellness education and health screenings.  In addition, this past week DMG joined efforts with one of the largest health plans in the Affinity Health Plan to deliver health information and conduct blood pressure testing.   DMG, as the medical offices are known in the community, provided these services at their multiple locations with several Medical Assistants and Managers who were on the streets in front of all facilities, bearing the heat and offering information and services with a big smile.  The community was responded well and many people expressed gratitude for the free services and the caring and concern offered by the DMG staff for their health and well being. This was truly a salute to Bronx week.

It was fun to interact with the community. Although it was very demanding, the end result was rewarding as the people came up to me to thank me and express their appreciation.”

DMG has been proactive in informing and educating the community about the importance of getting regular check-ups and taking advantage of the myriad services that are available to the community.
